Spring Candle Shades
Haslemere
Thursday 15th May, 7:30-9pm

Join me for a relaxed evening of crafting at The Georgian Coppa Club in Haslemere where you will make two beautiful candle shades to take home with you!

 

Learn how to create your own bespoke shades to sit atop your dinner candles adding a unique charm and elegance to any table-scape you choose to create. The perfect addition if you happen to be hosting this spring!

 

Included are all necessary materials to make your two interchangeable shades:

 

~ Choose from a selection of beautiful decorative papers

~ A brass shade carrier to hold your shade on top of a dinner candle

~ 2 Ivory dinner candles perfectly sized for the carrier

~ A surprise gift!

Candle Shades Come to Jersey!

I am being hosted by the lovely Kat from The Rocque Paper Co. in Gorey Village where I'll be bringing my candle shade workshop home to Jersey! Join us for a relaxed evening where you will make 2 interchangeable shades to suit your home from a selection of beautiful decorative papers.

 

Included are all necessary materials as well as:

~ a brass candle shade carrier 

~ 2 ivory dinner candles to fit

~ refreshments and light nibbles

Details 

~ Unless otherwise stated, the workshops take place at Niki's beautiful historic home in central Haslemere (7 min walk from the train station).

 

~ You will learn how to make your own lamp/candle shade to take home with you that day.

~ Refreshments and all required materials are provided.

 

~ Group size is limited to ensure everyone has plenty hands on assistance.

FAQ's

I don't have any suitable fabric, can you provide it?
No problem! I have an extensive supply of remnants to browse (may incur an additional fee).

I am not very creative, will I be able to do it?
Fear not, I will guide you through the process one step at a time and am on hand to assist with any of the trickier sections.

Can I make a different size/shape shade?
Of course - I offer different options at each workshop so check the details carefully before signing up. Once you have learnt the process you can make as many different shades as you like at home!

Don't the candle shades catch fire?!
Caution and common sense must be exercised but for peace of mind the shades are lined with a flame retardant liner. We advise only the recommended candles be used and NEVER leave candles unattended.  If you are at all concerned we have a brilliant LED alternative you can use!
